MUST HAVE SKILLS: 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst. 3+ years experience writing SQL for data analysis and validation. Experience with Oracles OBIEE and Oracle Business Intelligence Analytics Applications a plus. Prefer experience with Finance; Supply Chain/Order Management; Project Analytics; Procure/Spend; Service Analytics. Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Tools/Technologies. 3+ years experience with Data Warehousing, Data Marts, OLAP/LTP environments.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: Experience with Tableau for data visualization and report development is a plus. Knowledge of Salesforce Objects and experience with customization is a plus. Experience with CRM and ERP applications, such as Siebel, EBS is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our very high-visibility client is currently seeking a Data Analyst for the Corporate Analytics BI platform that provides analytical capability to various business domains supported by Corporate Systems. The Data Analyst must be passionate about data and will be responsible for requirements analysis and design, and development of reporting capabilities that leverage corporate data, including Finance, Customer Service and Call Centers. Through custom and pre-built analytics, Corporate Analytics supplies key metrics from Oracle and client built systems that integrate across the internal systems of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with customers, business analysts, and applications developers to turn Corporate Business Systems data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
- Write SQL for data exploration and analysis to identify data quality issues, review data blending across sources and communicate recommendations to the business.
- Ensure that the information is named properly and defined consistently across the organization. In addition to providing data that is appropriate and reliable, the information must be easily accessible by the user in an OBIEE environment.
- Document data dictionary and metadata to enable self-service model for users.
- Consult with customers to use the data within the OBIEE and Tableau tools, displaying the information in new form and content for the purpose of analysis and exploring options.
- Identify Business Intelligence needs and determine optimum systems requirements to meet those needs.
- Understand business processes at a level of detail that enables you to identify and address critical issues.
- Ensure that all proper questions have been identified and influence the understanding of analytical processes and data needed for business examination and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the users to ensure the processes they develop are appropriate for OBIEE and Tableau applications.
- Maintain and improve the reliability and validity of the data through education and data governance.
- Understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business environment, how best to leverage BI tools and an interest in helping the user leverage Corporate Analytics services for their analytical reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
- Experience with Tableau for data visualization and report development a plus
- 3+ years experience writing SQL for data analysis and validation
- Experience with data quality and profiling tools a plus, such as those from Oracle
- Experience with Oracles OBIEE and Oracle Business Intelligence Analytics Applications a plus
- Prefer experience with Finance, Supply Chain/Order Management; Project Analytics; Procure/Spend; Service Analytics
- Experience using Oracle BI Publisher (11 preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Tools/Technologies (prefer Oracle 11)
- Knowledge of Salesforce Objects and experience with customization is a plus
- Experience with CRM and ERP applications, such as Siebel, EBS is preferred
- 3+ years experience with Data Warehousing, Data Marts, OLAP/OLTP environments.
- Knowledge of physical, logical and dimensional data models is required
- Should have experience with full life cycle of Business Intelligence projects
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills
