DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR - DB2/LUW/5 MONTHS/THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS

Database Administrator - DB2/LUW, urgently required for one of my clients.

In this role as a Database Administrator - DB2/LUW you will be responsible for:

- The installation, configuration and maintenance of multiple DBMS environments
- Proactive monitoring of all databases
- Backup, recovery and housekeeping tasks
- Incident, capacity and performance management for both production and development environments and databases
- Disaster Recovery
- Development DBA activities for both new projects and changes to existing databases
- Assist the Application DBAs in application performance/design.
- Auditing

Required skills (must haves)

- 4 year Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience
- 8 years' experience as a Systems DBA with DB2/LUW including:- installation, configuration, maintenance, patching and on experience upgrade of DB2/LUW databases
- significant hands with DB2/LUW 9.5 and up databases
- logical and physical database design
- backup, recovery and housekeeping
- performance monitoring and tuning
- Strong T-SQL skills
- Experience with Linux and Wintel environments
- In-depth knowledge of HADR for DB2/LUW would be helpful
