Data Warehousing - Test Analyst - 6 Month Contract

A Great opportunity for several Data Warehousing Test Analysts to join a Government Department for 6 months

- BASELINE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate will have proven skills and experience in the creation of a database test bed, together with a background in problem solving, communication skills, including documentation and strong Change Management techniques. A knowledge of Data Warehousing, Normalised Layers and Data Marts is desirable, but not a limiting restriction as the successful applicants will be working with experienced existing staff as part of this project.

Candidates put forward by the company for the Test Analyst position must:

- Have excellent analysis and problem solving skills, show initiative and be outcome focussed.
- Be able to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders, be an effective team player and make positive contributions.
- Be familiar with Change Management techniques and processes;
- Be able to translate data mapping rules and existing records into a test bed of data to be used for both initial testing and as an on-going artefact for regression testing;
- Be able to document a database test bed such that the records translate into known test cases which are able to be run and re-run consistently;
- Be familiar with relational databases and understand data relationships in a complex environment, specifically SQL Server 2008R2, including the ability to extract data to create a new set of records for testing;
- Have experience in testing SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes, including security requirements.
- Have strong communication skills, both oral and written; and
- Have excellent attention to detail.
