Data Warehousing Analyst - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Data Warehousing Analysts within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in agile method activities including Scrum, Planning and Retrospective meetings;
- Complete and summarise results of domain analysis for team in consultation with other project team members and business representatives;
- Review and understand solution design and dimensional and normalised data models at a high level;
- Prepare and execute system test cases (input data and expected results); and
- Prepare mapping specification on an entity, attribute and value basis.

SKILLS:

- IBM DB2 SQL for domain analysis of source data on IBM DB2 Datawarehouse (Data has been extracted from Mainframe, Oracle mid-range, and XML databases, as well as SAP R/3);
- Data analysis including presence, frequency distribution of values, referential integrity;
- Functional mapping specification;
- System and integration testing design and set-up, including fault isolation (either in test or solution);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- IT degree or relevant experience preferred.
