Data Warehouse Solution Architect - SQL Server 2012 - 3 month Contract

A leading Financial Services Organisation is urgently seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Solution Architect (SQL Server 2012/ETL/SSIS/T-SQL) for an initial 3 Month Contract in Central London

As the Data Warehouse Solutions Architect, you will own the high-level and detailed solution designs of an in-flight SQL Server based data warehouse project. Initially, the Solution Architect would be expected to review the existing data warehouse design (and related interface mechanisms) and take a cost/benefit approach to turning it into best practice.

Working with the project team, you will take the lead on developing solution designs to extend an existing data warehouse producing:

- The to-be data model (Stage, ODS & Star schemas) that supports new data sources and new reporting requirements
- Design documentation detailing data lineage, design options and any key decisions made
- A detailed list of changes to be made to the existing Data warehouse objects to enable the Development team to implement the extended solution
- Presentations to the Enterprise Architect and the Technical Design Authority summarising the solution designs
- QA of related solution designs produced by colleagues.

Essential Experience

- Experience designing Data warehouses using mainstream design patterns and methodologies
- Experience of undertaking analysis and development using SQL Server SSIS and T-SQL Development for ETL Process both inbound and outbound from a Data warehouse
- Previous exposure to SQL Server 2012 Data warehousing
- Previous exposure to reporting solutions using Business Objects XI or similar
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services industry
