For one of our prestigious clients near Amsterdam we are currently actively looking for a Project Manager. This is a PART TIME (32 HOURS) position.

The Project Manager we are looking for is not a typical PM. A technical background is essential, as most communication will be about the Data Warehouse, which approach to use and how much time different solutions take. We expect the PM to actively engage in these discussions.

After requirements are clear and budget is released the project manager plans the available resources. If no resources are available, these need to be on-boarded. Of course budgets need to be taken into account. This is also the responsibility of the Project Manager. The project manager communicates the status of the project on a weekly basis to the stakeholders. It is his/her responsibility to make sure the deadline is met.

The PM is clear on all deliverables, including SDLC documentation and makes sure all documents are created, reviewed and signed in a timely manner. Communication with the Data Analyst, Data Architect, Database administrator, ETL Developer(s) and the Data Visualization experts is key. Some of them might be working on multiple projects and some will be dedicated to a single project.

The PM discusses the resource availability with the other Project Managers to make sure resources are utilized for the entire duration of their contracts.

WHAT IS IN USE?

Oracle Enterprise server 11g data warehouse.

IBM Datastage for ETL.
-

Oracle APEX for data entry purposes.
-

QlikView, Qlik Sense and ThoughtSpot as data visualization tools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-

Manage project timelines, budgets and resources.
-

Manage expectations to stakeholders.
-

Collaborate and agree with other project managers on resources.
-

Collaborate with the developers and analysts (to understand priorities, managing teams and work on current backlog).
-

Ensure documentation according to clients SDLC is delivered.
-

Facilitate meetings with the business.
-

Interact with European, Asian and American colleagues.
-

In some cases interact and coordinate with third party vendors.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

-

Four-year technical degree required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field.
-

Four or more years of experience with BI practices and techniques and organizations.

Proven experience in BI project management
-

Advanced verbal and written communications skills in English, including the ability to be both directive and collaborative.
-

Ability to work autonomously.
-

Cope with strict procedures and processes.
-

Familiarity working in international and enterprise level companies.
-

Excellent organizational and decision-making skills including the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while providing quality customer service and products.

Experience in working with fixed budgets.

Preferred

-

Sound knowledge of project management methodologies like PRINCE2 and PMBOK.

Understanding of business concepts, procedures, and practices.

Experience in stakeholder management.

Previous experience as in BI as a developer
