Data Warehouse Engineer - DB2 - Pentaho

ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of IT you will be responsible for the delivery of a DW/ETL migration project.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- build a project plan by gathering all necessary requirements from relevant departments and by analysing existing DW/ETL structure
- design and implement (dimensional) DW database structure (IBM DB2)
- design and implement ETL system using Pentaho (migration from custom build Java toolset)
- migrate existing reports (and design new ones as required) from Crystal Reports to Pentaho
- provide training to non IT staff on Report building and design
- maintain comprehensive documentation for all relevant systems/processes
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years+ experience in developing, integrating, deploying and managing complex Data Warehousing ETL solutions
- 3 years+ industry experience working with Pentaho
- 1 year+ working experience with IBM DB2
- proven track record of working in Financial Services sector
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- proficient in database design and administration
- excellent technical analysis and Datamodelling skills
- excellent documentation skills, fluency in written and verbal English required
