DATA WAREHOUSE/BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER

STRATEGIC PLANNING AND CHANGE

The University of Essex is embarking on an ambitious programme to improve its Business Intelligence capability. We are seeking a talented data warehouse/Business Intelligence developer to help us deliver information to decision makers across the University in a fresh way - as a real catalyst for change.

In this role you will be directly contributing to the University achieving its strategic vision of delivering excellence in education and excellence in research. THE ROLE:

You will be working as part of a flexible development team (within the Strategic Planning and Change Section) on the development and support of a new corporate data warehouse.

You will have specific responsibility for enhancing the existing ETL process to incorporate a wide range of new data sets from varied sources, as well as developing SSAS cubes to deliver reporting to end users.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Strong skills in SQL Server 2012 or 2014
- Highly experienced in SSAS development
- Highly experienced in ETL using SSIS
- A strong focus on documentation as well as a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrable knowledge architecting and developing data warehouse solutions
- Experience of flexible using Team Foundation Server (TFS)

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Report development with SSRS
- Data visualisation with Tableau

SALARY: £31,342-£37,394 PER ANNUM
