DATA WAREHOUSE BUSINESS ANALYST - BASEL III

Mansion House Consulting are a highly successful and rapidly expanding Technology and Business Transformation Consultancy specialising in the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Asset/Fund Management and Wealth Management sectors. We currently have offices in London, New York, Jacksonville, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Singapore.

Our client is currently developing a financial data warehouse in line with regulatory requirements. As such there is a need for a Business Analyst with a data warehouse background and knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly Basel III.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing the requirements and requests from the business as well as identifying and assessing change needs. The Business Analyst captures and documents requirements, analyses the impact of changes and support the business throughout the implementation process.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

- Collects functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with Functional business analysts
- Creates supporting documentation eg Functional Specifications based on business requirements, non-functional requirements
- Supports obtaining sign-off on functional specifications
- Liaises with functional analysts and developers as appropriate to ensure solution design and implementation is in line with the functional specifications
- Supports the preparation of feasibility studies and estimates on implementation
- Supports End to End testing, systems integration testing and UAT, defining testing requirements together with the QA & Testing Team as well as the clients
- Performs data analysis to support tasks as required

EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE:

- Experience in Business Analysis and Financial Services
- Experience in Data Warehousing and proficient in Oracle PL/SQL and ANSI SQL
- Knowledge of key regulatory requirements - particularly Basel III
- Experience in conceptualization and solution definition
- Awareness of Quality Management tools and techniques
- Excellent communications skills
