Data Warehouse Business Analyst

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrated business analysis skills in a data warehousing context and be capable of developing a dimensional model for warehouse implementation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Analysis and documentation of requirements for datamarts, cubes and reporting solutions for Early Childhood, Schools and Youth portfolios.
- Eliciting data and reporting requirements using various techniques, as appropriate.
- Analysing data gathering processes.
- Mapping 'as-is' and 'to-be' information models.
- Addressing gaps in the information provided by the stakeholders.
- Managing and resolving requirements conflicts.
- Enhancement of procedures supporting the data warehouse development and specification process.
- Analysis and identification of data integration opportunities where possible and ongoing development of conformed dimensions to be used across the warehouse
- Data profiling and data quality monitoring/escalation
- Conceptual/logical data models, data solution design, dimensional modelling

The successful candidate will also have

- Demonstrated experience in Data Warehouse projects specifically in the areas of scope and requirements definition, functional design, dimensional Datamodelling and ETL (Extract Transform Load) specification.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and Datamodelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and as a team member.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with exceptional technical and business stakeholder management capabilities.
