Data Scientist/ Quantitative Data Expert

Responsibilities would include:
* Understanding the needs of researchers at a deep, detailed level
* Finding, investigating, and delivering financial and economic data related to the markets trades
* Designing and constructing derived data specific to the investment models our Research teams are developing
* Executing on data analysis projects related the process of understanding markets and systematizing investment logic
* Connecting our investment professional to our data resources in rich ways that help us be more agile and impactful in our research
processes
* Pushing our strategic approach to data from both a process and technique perspective

Position Requirements:

* Experience as a Data Scientist, or Data Analytics role or Hadoop/Big Data Expert
* Programming and database skills; work involving large data sets; experience with computational tools (Excel, Matlab, SAS, R)

*Experience in data query / programming languages (Java, SQL, VBA)

Familiarity with one or more of the following data domains:
o Macroeconomic Data
o Market Data: Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, Equities, Derivatives (Options, etc.)
* Experience in any of the following data specialties:
o Data requirements gathering
o Data manipulation (parsing, aggregations, derivations)
o Data profiling (grading, modeling, metadata management)
