Data Scientist Job

DATA SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Overland Park, KS.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for applying advanced statistical and data mining techniques to execute analytical solutions that drive tangible sales and profit results.

* Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to build analytical capability to deliver a strategy aligned to business goals.
* Responsible for advanced statistical analyses including business case development, and ownership of predictive analytics including modelling and decision engine design.
* The Data Scientist applies advanced statistical and predictive modelling techniques to solve a wide range of business problems.
* Applies advanced statistical and predictive modelling techniques to build, maintain, and improve on multiple Real Time decision systems.
* Implements technical solutions for decision systems and participate in the development of modelling algorithms to be deployed into production.
* Provides on-going tracking and monitoring of performance of decision systems and statistical models, troubleshoots and implements enhancements and fixes to these systems as needed.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
* The ability to do data and text mining, data visualization, predictive models, preparation and analysis for big data.
* Advanced knowledge of data science concepts and experience working with diverse large data sets.
* Advanced knowledge with SQL, R/S+/SAS/SPSS, and other data modelling tools including data evaluation with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative solutions.
* Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy, Google Analytics, etc. required
* Degree in Data Science or equivalent is preferred
