Data Scientist

For an international client of us in The Hague we are looking for a data scientist! This is a contracting position for 6 months + extensions.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
- Prior experience in applying data mining and/or predictive modelling in a business analytics or scientific setting.
- Prior experience with applying machine learning/artificial intelligence and knowledge discovery techniques to large, complex data sets from a variety of sources.
- Expert knowledge of R and some other computational systems such as VBA, Java, Python, C, C++
- Highly motivated and flexible with the ability to work on a range of projects on an ongoing basis
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn and improve status quo
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong preference for those with energy market Commodities (especially oil) related experience in the application of machine learning and workflows is desired.
