A high profile role in an exciting new team

As a Barclays Data Scientist you'll play a key role in our dedicated UKRBB Business Information team. We'll look to you to generate sound strategic insights from multiple, often complex raw data feeds, using your expert understanding of analytical and statistical techniques. This is a highly visible opportunity to work with new technologies, while shaping the development of a new team, as well as your career.

What you'll give our customers as a Data Scientist

You'll be responsible for designing and building tools to forecast our customers' behaviours, using your exceptional knowledge of a broad range of analytical techniques. You'll need excellent communication and influencing skills to present your findings to senior stakeholders, and negotiate on strategies to drive performance across the business. That means you'll work across the business, supporting strategy development and leading initiatives that will improve the accuracy and availability of important data.

What you'll need as a Data Scientist

The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need a relevant Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Programming degree and significant analytics experience, ideally in a business to customer environment. We're looking for highly analytical individuals with a strong understanding of statistical programming tools and languages.
