Data Research Analyst/Technical Specialist

Background
We are currently recruiting for an experienced data research analyst to produce a draft document for (inaugural) publication, providing analysis, modelling and interpretation of a variety of information sources (both internal and external) along with some commentary of trends. This document will contribute to ensuring Automatic Enrolment is effectively positioned in the wider government and regulatory landscapes with the aim of keeping schemes on the right track for the long term. This role is initially for one month (20 days) and is based in Brighton (no travel expected).

Main Duties/Responsibilities
You will. Identify, distil and interpret numerical information and research findings - both internal and external - relating to automatic enrolment. Identify emerging trends as well as assumptions, predictions and issues by drawing on all of the relevant internal and external information available. Apply analytical rigour to develop an evidence-driven report incorporating the appropriate use of graphs, charts and accessible reportage and commentary. Provide domain expert insights and knowledge on automatic enrolment. Develop procedures and protocols with stakeholders for the ongoing (annual) development of the reports

Skills/Experience Required
* Experience of designing, presenting and reporting analytical and research findings with the ability to evaluate data sources for integrity, reliability and accuracy. Experience in applying analytical rigour to develop evidence-driven insights and drive business aims. Basic understanding of cost benefit analysis and risk assessment techniques. Numeracy - proven by a good grade in a mathematics-related qualification. Ability to deal with numerical complexity whilst maintaining accuracy through checks and controls. Ability to understand databases and develop the ability (with support) to extract insightful information from them. Familiarity with a range of quantitative techniques and methodologies and a sound understanding of quantitative sampling and basic statistical techniques. Understanding of qualitative research
