WE ARE LOOKING FOR  DATA OPERATIONS ANALYST  FOR AN URGENT OPENING WITH ONE OF OUR ESTEEMED CLIENTS.

JOB TITLE:  DATA OPERATIONS ANALYST
DURATION:  CONTRACT
LOCATION:  COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will sit in the Data Operations Team, which is a part of the BI Operations Team that also covers DBA services, Application Maintenance and Service Transition activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Must be able to lead a team of 6-7 team members with the same purpose as above.
Ensure data is in right place, in right condition at the right time in the BI systems.
Operation, Monitoring, Scheduling, Troubleshooting and Reporting of daily data loads.
Operation, Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Reporting of the monthly financial batch runs over 2-3 days after the books close.
Act as Subject Matter Experts for Production ETL Applications in support of various applications
Maintaining a master schedule and runbook for the data operations on the BI platforms
Feeding issues and improvement opportunities back into the Application Maintenance or Project teams to ensure continuous optimisation of application performance and resource consumption
Taking handover from projects and integrating new data loads into the schedule and runbook.
Liaising with the DBA team to ensure that workload management is in place to ensure performance of data loads to SLAs.
Performing pro-active problem management to minimize repeating incidents and workarounds.

Time Management skills must be well developed, with the ability to quickly change priorities to meet business and IT requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Strong knowledge and experience of Teradata ETL (BTEQ, TPT, Teradata Utilities) is required.
Working knowledge of key Teradata tools such as Viewpoint and TASM.
Strong Linux Shell Scripting skills
Teradata database knowledge and experience is required.
Strong SQL Scripting skills (BTEQ  or TPT)
Understanding of MQ would be helpful
Experience working in a busy Datawarehouse operations team, preferably across    multiple   locations, on and off-shore.
Working knowledge of Teradata architecture
Experience in Informatica, Data Stage or other ETL tools
Linux Administration knowledge is a bonus.
Teradata certifications will be an added benefit.
ITIL Foundation is also desirable
