Data Modeler Job

DATA MODELER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Participate in reviewing business and data requirements.
- Designs Conceptual and Logical Data Models for OLTP and Data warehouse applications.
- Performs data analysis and data profiling to understand the data and underlying data structures.
- Partners with the BSAs and Data Stewards to capture, enhance and publish the metadata for the data models.
- Coordinates data models, data dictionaries, and other database documentation across multiple applications.
- Works with DBA and Development teams to ensure design is properly communicated.
- Assures integrity of data, software, and hardware; develops policies and procedures related to development and support of new and ongoing systems.
- Understand database query, index, and constraint for supporting OLTP system design with optimized interaction speed.
- Interacts and works closely with multiple application development agile sprint teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- At least three (3) years of experience in Data Modeling for OLTP applications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in Data Modeling OLTP and Data warehouse applications.
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with Erwin Data Modeler or similar data modelling tools like ER Studio, Power Designer or Visio.
- Three plus (3+) years of experience with relational databases like Oracle.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Database Certifications, Certified Data Management Professional, DAMA Certification preferred.
- Banking or Financial industry experience a plus
