DATA MIGRATION MANAGER - BEERSE, BELGIUM - DUTCH SPEAKING

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Data Migration Manager.

Data migration manager doing:
Data conversion services
a. Data mapping
i. Facilitate participating countries in making the data mapping exercise and building the extraction programs.
b. Data Validation
i. Facilitate participating countries in validating the data which has been extracted or which has been loaded into the Workday Application.
c. Data Conversion issues: problem solving
i. Facilitate participating countries in the process of error handling of data conversion issues which were encountered during data validation.
d. SDLC Compliance
i. Support participating countries in providing the expected SDLC Compliance documentation
e. Data Migration to new payroll system, new t&a system, new benefits system
i. Depending on which new applications are in scope of the project (apart from Workday), extra data conversion activities can be defined. Within this role, the data conversion regional lead supports the local team in converting their data to the new payroll, new T&A (Time and Attendance), new benefits system.
1) Data conversion services
a. Data mapping
i. SERVICE
Facilitate participating countries in making the data mapping exercise and building the extraction programs.
ii. RESPONSIBILITIES
Make sure all Workday data elements are effectively mapped from local Legacy HR or Payroll application.
As local Legacy HR system becomes obsolete in TO BE architecture, the regional data conversion lead needs to ensure (final responsibility for local core team)
all useful data elements are converted from the Legacy HR system.
Identify differences in data mapping strategy compared to GDI. If differences are identified: define extra data validation activities.
Guide countries in building the extraction program based upon these mapping rules. Ensure the level of automation is maximized
Leverage lessons learned (lessons learned in earlier phases, for other countries)
iii. VOLUME/DELIVERABLES
+/- 200 data elements need to be mapped.
FRS Sign off by local team
iv. TOOLS
FRS - Functional Requirement Specification Document containing all Workday Data Elements
Data Migration Landscape - Drawing in which all datastreams are outlined. This tool is used to get a full understanding of how the extraction program/process
works.
b. Data Validation
i. SERVICE
Facilitate participating countries in validating the data which has been extracted or which has been loaded into the Workday Application.
ii. RESPONSIBILITIES
Define several types of data validation and guide local teams in performing each type of data validation (Types of data validation: Source (=Legacy HR/payroll system) to file Validation, Conversion input files to GDI File Validation, GDI File to Workday Validation, Source to hub testing, Conversion input files to Workday Data Validation Reports, Source to Target Validation)
iii. VOLUME/DELIVERABLES
Volume depends on population of each country
Data validation sign off by data coordinator in every test cycle.
iv. TOOLS
Data Conversion Validation Reports in Workday
Comparison file to validate data elements: Excel tool set up by the regional team to directly compare a huge amount of values which were sent in the Conversion input files with the actual values in the Workday Data Validation Reports.
c. Data Conversion issues: problem solving
i. SERVICE
Facilitate participating countries in the process of error handling of data conversion issues which were encountered during data validation.
ii. RESPONSIBILITIES
Discover and Understand any local data gaps and help drive to resolution.
iii. VOLUME/DELIVERABLES
Volume depends on the country and the test cycle in which data conversion issues are logged
iv. TOOLS

d. SDLC Compliance
i. SERVICE
Support participating countries in providing the expected SDLC Compliance documentation
ii. RESPONSIBILITIES
Familiarize local teams with predefined templates.
Provide (initial) input for these templates.
Make sure every component of the SDLC documentation is covered by asking the respective responsible for input.
iii. VOLUME/DELIVERABLES
Volume (number of documents) depends on the conversion activities of the particular country. SDLC compliance for Workday Data Conversion is covered by the global team. SDLC compliance for data conversion to a new payroll system, a new T&A System, a new Benefits system is covered by the regional/local team.

Several pre-defined SDLC templates can be found: Link to SDLC compliance documents
