DATA LAKE OPS ENGINEER (LINUX) (DWH) (ETL)

A Data Lake Ops Engineer (Linux) (DWH) (ETL) is urgently required for a long-term, lucrative contract with a market leading Financial Services client based in Amsterdam.

The Data Lake Ops Engineer (Linux) (DWH) (ETL) will join a team of Developer/Support Engineers and Data Analysts focussed on building and maintaining information stores and Datamarts in the Data Lake. The main task will be the daily maintenance and monitoring of Data Lake applications and incident management. The role will also involve keeping operational controls up to date.

The Data Lake Ops Engineer (Linux) (DWH) (ETL) will have very strong, recent experience in a Support/Operations position within a Linux or DWH environment and will have a broad understanding of ETL and related tools.

The Data Lake Ops Engineer (Linux) (DWH) (ETL) will ideally have 70%+ of the following skills and experience:

- Strong experience with Linux stack
- Bash Scripting
- Continuous Integration/Delivery (for example Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible)
- Versioning tooling eg GIT
- Setting up monitoring with ELK stack (Kibana, Logstash, Elastic search)
- Performance management on Linux stack and ETL jobs.
- Experience with ETL tools like DataStage, SAS DI, SSIS, Informatica
- Database like Oracle, PDA (Netezza), SQL server.
- Experience with life cycle management of applications in a data warehouse environment
- Tibco MFT (nice to have)
- English speaker, Dutch speakers preferred
- Hadoop (nice to have)
