Data Integration Analyst/SAS Developer

DATA INTEGRATION ANALYST/SAS DEVELOPER/DATA ANALYST/DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

3 MONTH CONTRACT BASED IN NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

Our Central Government client require a Data Integration Analyst to join a new team which is being formed to develop the Business Intelligence (BI) environment for the organisation, built around the latest SAS suite of software tools. The team will cover all aspects of data (integration, coherence, quality) and will be responsible for delivery of data reports (including official statistics, performance framework and management information) specified by teams in Analytical Services for consumption by the organisation and the outside world.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assess the accuracy, completeness and coherence of organisations data;
2. Identify and develop mechanisms for improving data quality for analytical purposes, working closely with all teams in Analytical Services.
3. Develop automatic generation of management information and statistical reports (specified by other teams in analytical services) as an automatic feed to meet the differing needs at all levels in the organisation.
4.Helping to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the server environment.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Experience of handling large administrative data sets.
2. Good working knowledge of SAS software or similar software packages.
