ROLE - Data Insight Analyst - Asset Finance - Credit Risk - SQL - VBA - Cardiff - £380/day

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Our client, a leading UK retail bank, require the services of a Data Insight Analyst to work on a Change the Bank project funded through GSI. Asset Finance has recently switched strategic direction from being a Manage For Value' business to Manage For Growth'. To support this new growth strategy the Phoenix Programme has been created, with GEC approval, to significantly expand the business over the next five years.

- Previous experience of using a CRM system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and a proven track record of successful implementation/delivery of projects is ideal. Support the development of CRM initiatives through the delivery of detailed customer insight analysis.
- Previous experience of data analytics focused on customer behaviours and product holdings is essential.
- High levels of analytical skills required, with specific knowledge of SQL, MS Office products and VBA essential. 
- Previous knowledge of SAS or propensity modelling desirable. 
- Support the CRM Manager in a range of analytical and modelling projects relating to customer lead generation. Support the implementation and ongoing running of a new CRM system to an external network of motor dealers, including training and communications to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide advanced analysis delivering solutions to complex business questions
- Ensure compliance with Group standards and reporting requirements and any relevant legislative or regulatory requirements
- Proactively develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues regarding business developments appropriate to own projects/area of specialisation
- Be proactive in resolving a wide range of demanding customer enquiries and issues
- Experience of data analytics within a customer focused department such as CVM/CRM/Credit Risk etc
- SQL - to a high level
- Excel - in depth advanced knowledge including functions, macros, and pivot tables (some VBA)
- Access to a good level - some VBA
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint/Word/Excel essential)
- SAS and/or modelling tools previous experience desirable but not essential
- Experience of a variety of statistical analysis techniques eg propensity model development
- Excellent understanding of concepts of relational databases
- Experience of financial/banking/motor market arena
- Experience of design and development of reporting
- Ability to interpret user requirements
- Ability to interpret trends in data
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the CRM Manager to aid in the development, implementation and subsequent delivery of a new CRM system.

Desirable but not essential:

- Understanding of customer segmentation
- Understanding of the Motor Finance Dealer market
- CRM systems - previous experience working directly with a CRM system

Occasional travel will be required to attend various workshops which can be held either in Birmingham, London or Edinburgh
