Data Engineer - SQL - Data Warehouses - Lausanne

Our client, a major financial institution based in Lausanne, is looking for a Data Analyst with solid background in databases and data warehouses to develop new technology initiatives in support of Big Data projects.

Working with business teams, you will validate requirements and be responsible for source data, capturing metadata, mapping data elements and support user acceptance testing.

With proven proficiency in Unix, Python, SQL and big data technologies, you will be working in a small team whose responsibilities cover data analysis, data sourcing and data engineering.

Acting as subject matter expert within your data field, you will propose new solutions to data sourcing and establish technical data connectivity specifications for development teams.

You will have a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and have previous proven experience within Unix environments. Strong SQL experience will allow you to write complex and sophisticated SQL queries to include cross database joins and a technology background in databases, data warehouses, tables, views, indexes and normal forms

Fluency in English is required.
