DATA CENTRE PROJECT MANAGER, BANKING
Data Centre Project Manager sought for a Banking sector project based in Oslo/Norway.
The current data centres host the clients operations supporting business in the Nordics. These data centres are internally owned and Client has decided they do not wish to continue to invest in both facilities. The project is looking to establish, procure and fit out a 3rd datacentre that can be used initially for new systems and could evolve into a replacement for one of the existing data centres.
THE OVERARCHING RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS ROLE IS:
- To successfully deliver the 3rd data centre project to ensure that the overall programme and constituent delivery activities are integrated and managed to agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
- To provide day to day project control and management.
- To integrate the delivery of the internal and any 3rd party teams.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Co-ordination with stakeholders to identify requirements for the new datacentre and to agree the full scope of the data centre project.
- Production of Project Initiation Documentation and a business case for the delivery of the 3rd data centre.
- Production of project plans and tracking of activities to deliver the project.
-Production of regular reports to the stakeholder's and steering committee.
- Co-ordination of activities to procure, design and deliver the new DC and associated core infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Storage, Operations Environment, Compute, etc.) ready to take on services.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience of running large scale data centre fit out and migration projects
- Strong Banking Sector Experience
- Ability to recognize of the business benefits of the data centre project deliverables and re-prioritise the initiative accordingly
- Ability to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously tracking the dependencies between them.
- Proactivity in dealing with challenges and finding quicker and efficient means of delivery
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Business level English language
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE RESOURCE CAN WORK ON-SITE IN OSLO AND IS AVAILABLE FOR AN AUGUST START.
START: August 2015
DURATION: 5 Months + 6 months extension
LOCATION: Olso/Norway
RATE: 80-100 Euros/Hour
