Data Centre Expert (Windows, Unix, Virtualization)

Our client is currently looking for a Data Centre Expert for a 3 month rolling contract in Rome, Italy to start mid February and be involved in data assessment & consolidation.

The Client:

A large scale consultancy (FTSE 500)

Role:

The candidate will be engaged in DC assessment facing customer Technology/Infrastructure SME
Will lead the DC equipment inventory consolidation interacting with customer subject matter experts
Will be in charge for the validation and reconciliation of the discovered data from tools/templates, and perform As-Is & state Analysis.
Will support the development of high level design and migration plan for target environment, evaluate the dependencies and risk for migration and prepare assessment reports.
In addition will support the designing target state of the IT solution, the definition of the detailed migration plan, and related budget commercial for migration.
S/He will interact with customer's project manager/lead designers and Solution Architect to discuss and review the proposed solutions

Skills Required:

Deep knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Virtualization and Storage technologies
Good understanding of Network, Firewall, Security standards in the Mainframe and Middle ware environments
Fluent in Italian and English - able to work in English with virtual team through conference call/email and WebEx session
Good planning/organizational and communication skills
