Data Center Operations support
We have an exciting opening with a leading Global Organization for a "Data Center Operations support". It's an immediate hire and planning to close it ASAP.
POSITION TITLE: Data Center Operations support
LOCATION OF WORK: Gothenburg, Sweden/Gent, Belgium
Position Type: Contract
Language: Swedish/French/Dutch
DATA CENTER OPERATIONS SUPPORT REQUIRES:
- Good understanding of DC facility Operations.
- 24x7 Managed service Support for DC facility Operations
- Review the performance of the Supplier team and identify areas of improvement and training
- Review overall Service performance, changes and improvements required with 3rd parties and Purchaser Service Manager
- Supervise Critical and Major incidents in the Facilities
- Responsible for day-to-day support required for Facilities and third party management activities required in data centers
- Monitoring of all facility equipment and reporting on incidents in the DC
- Work with third party vendors during incidents/equipment outages and report on status till issues are resolved
- Floor space/Rack allocation as per approval from DC Manager.
- Cabling, labeling, documentation of equipment within facilities, with help from Third parties wherever required
- Asset management within DC.
- Help on certain simple DC hands-and-feet support activities, for ex- rebooting of equipment.
- Support Service Owners of other services during critical incidents
- Help in de-commissioning/replacement of any equipment in DC.
- Guide and advise DC facility owners for Class-1/Class-2/Class-3 DC to run the facility operations
- Interface to Service Owners and Third Parties for DC facility related requirements.
- Manage Critical and Major incidents in the Facilities
- Responsible for DC floor management and allocation of rack space
- Provide reports to support Facilities management activities
- Help Service Owners understand data centre standard, compliance, regulatory needs and applicable laws.
- Responsible for approval of support vendor access requests to DC facilities
- Responsible to communicate on the status of Major or Critical Outages in the facilities
- Audit third party vendor performance, floor space, power and cooling consumptions and share report with Purchaser's DC Service Owner
- Should have good understanding of data Center equipment includes, Fire suppression system, Fire detection system, HVAC systems, Power equipment - eg Generator, UPS, maintenance bypass Switches, PDU's, ATS Switches, Water treatment systems, Leak detection system, Security systems such as locks, cameras etc,KVM, Rack
- Experience in comprehending, drafting and maintaining technical documentation.
- Demonstrated good skills in oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
