Data Architect Job

DATA ARCHITECT needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Seattle, WA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, and/or SQL Server
- Spring Batch, (Spring XD and Spring Integration a plus) and core Java
- Data warehouses, data marts and data lakes

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications
- Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria
- Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
- Estimate level of effort to develop code to meet acceptance criteria
- Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality/time to market imperatives
- Maintain records to document program development and revisions
- Provide 3rd level support of software solution as needed
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior developers

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associate degree or equivalent
- Expertise in Spring Batch, (Spring XD and Spring Integration a plus) and core Java
- Experience developing and maintaining large scale distributed data platforms with experienced in data warehouses, data marts and data lakes.
- Experience with software techniques, data manipulation techniques, ETL, and SQL tuning.
- Extensive database development experience with emphasis on data modelling, schema, stored procedure and trigger design and construction in a T-SQL environment.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience.
- Experience with databases such as Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, and/or SQL Server.
- Experience with highly transactional systems.
- Proven track record of delivering quality deliverables.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with test-driven development or unit testing.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
