DATA ARCHITECT - FINANCIAL SERVICES - CONTRACT - LONDON

GENERAL

My client are looking to recruit a Data Architect to work on a technical data standard for inter system and inter organisation data exchange.

The successful candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic and changeable environment.

EXPERIENCE

My client are looking for a candidate who has 5yrs+ proven technical analyst experience in the industry in areas such as:

Front and Back Office processes include trade capture, trade processing and trade reconciliation.

Derivatives trading or derivatives Back Office processing
-

Financial risk management, risk analytics, risk data
-

Central clearing house processing, operations and activities
-

Market connectivity and data standards (eg SWIFT, FpML)

EDUCATION

-

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related area
-

Industry certifications a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual will be responsible for building a technical data standard that will be used for the transmission of large amounts of data.

-

Working with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts to record and refine necessary changes to requirements.
-

Ensuring backwards compatibility for the standard
-

Datamodelling and developing XSD's
-

Test data generation, .csv, XML, etc

MANDATORY SKILLS

TECHNICAL

Excellent Datamodelling

Excellent XSD design and development for complex data structures

Excellent understanding of XSLT, XPath and XML processing

Message construction and transmission using industry standards such FpML

Experience working on global systems with large data volumes

Experience using protocols for message exchange such as SOAP and REST

Service oriented architecture and distributed systems
