Data Architect

OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for a Data Architect to support a three-month contract with our client in New York. Must have CMS data experience and exposure to WebFOCUS/InfoAssist. The ideal candidate will bring extensive work experience with CMS Claims Data, ideally the Claims Line Feed (CCLF). Experience with MEDPAR data a plus

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to analyze, model and implement data model design in the existing Oracle environment.
- Ideally, the candidate will have direct exposure to the Information Builders WebFOCUS product line, especially Developer Studio (ver 7.7.xx) and InfoAssist, primarily as it pertains to understanding the strengths and limits of the applications. Direct experience developing with these tools is a plus.
- The deliverable for this project is the development of the data model itself, as well as load strategy design and complete implementation of the model using final production data from CMS.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using WebFOCUS is a plus.
- Must have Data Modeling, Oracle, CMS Claims Data, and WebFOCUS skills.

DELIVERABLE DESCRIPTION:

- This consulting position will interface with internal team members, including but not limited to the internal customer, the BI solutions architect, database administrators, and application developers to provide technical expertise regarding a specific data model which will drive both dynamic dashboard development and rich ad hoc reporting capability for the CMS CCLF. 
- The position will be responsible for partnering with the internal team to help analyze the business need driving requirements and to then develop the specific technical, structural, and organizational specifications for the aforementioned data model. Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of enterprise reporting platform, WebFOCUS, is required.
- The deliverable for this project will be a fully implemented data model. The resulting model will drive a set of standard dashboard reports which will provide a multidimensional view into the data driven by a highly parameterized report interface. The model should also allow for rich and diverse exploratory ad hoc access using our enterprise ad hoc query tool, InfoAssist.
- Knowledge transfer of the final solution is a key part of the deliverable and consideration should be given to existing internal infrastructure so that any new data development can be coordinated with existing data stores and warehouses.
