Data Architect

Position: Data Architect- (data analysis and design)
LOCATION: Hong Kong
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6 - 12 months extendable
NATIONALITY: English speaking, Chinese is benefit

DATA ARCHITECT

Responsible for managing the overall data architecture to ensure consistency and integrity of data

5+ years data architecture experience in complex business environments.

10+ years in IT.

Strong background in data analysis and design, including associated best practice, methods and tools.

Strong understanding of the latest solutions and strategies relating to enterprise data architecture.

Prior experience and thorough understanding of developing enterprise and solution architecture for operational and analytical environments, including:

o Operational data stores and operational reporting as part of an overall application architecture

o Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Marketing

o Corporate Data Dictionary, including meta-data management and associated governance

o Information security and associated governance

Ability to define and articulate architecture strategy and standards, and to support architecture governance to ensure solutions are aligned to these

Ability to present concepts/recommendations in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization.

Strong leadership, collaboration, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving ability.

Ability to communicate effectively with both business managers as well as technical developers.

Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including ability to convey architecture concepts visually.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of architecture frameworks such as The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), ideally including certification.
