Data Analyst (SQL DBA) Job

DATA ANALYST (SQL DBA) opportunity for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in Cincinnati, OH.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Maintains SQL databases and writes applications to interface with SQL databases
- Writes and tests SQL code - Development often consists of designing tables, stored procedures, views and functions

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Creates ETL packages using SSIS and Informatica Power Center to populate and update tables in the database from various sources such as other Databases, Flat Files, Access, and Excel
- Creates SSRS Reports
- Develops Access tools connected to SQL Server using VBA Programming. These tools are utilized by end users to run reports and enter data into the database correctly formatted to match table and field definitions in the database
- Manipulates and analyzes data and writes semi-complex Excel formulas
- Meets with users to gather project requirements and identify solutions to facilitate better flow of information
- Ensures high quality data is collected and safeguards integrity of the data.
- Analyses information using various statistical methods, seeing patterns in data
- Conceptualizes data and shares this knowledge through effective presentation of the data output with the rest of team
- Ensures smooth and proper database maintenance
- Informatica experience helpful but not required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree OR three (3) years of SQL experience in lieu of degree
