The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative plays a vital role in the overall welfare of the company. EDP Biotech relies on the customer service team coupled with our distribution partners and the technical support team to contact customers on a regular basis. This goal is achieved through periodic and scheduled outbound calls from EDP to current customers and distributors to discuss their needs, providing technical resources, promoting new products, gathering referrals, and general customer courtesy calls. They are the customer advocate and will garner all and any resources internally or externally to assure satisfaction and retention. Customers and distributors will be contacted on a rotating basis to discuss current promotions and new products. Order entry and contact / database management are essential responsibilities.
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for working in conjunction with the efforts of distribution channel partners, calling into existing customer sites for new commercial kit sales business and supporting the distributors when and where new kit sales can be realized.

• Assist customers and strategic distribution partners by providing information in the areas of product performance, technical applications, and product availability.
• Assist customers and distribution partners through our ordering process including but not limited to; new in-service follow ups, service support, assuring overall satisfaction.
• Must satisfactorily address product inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
• Up sell EDP product(s).
• Convert facilities by presenting advantages, features and benefits of EDP product(s).
• Establish relationships with end user accounts and distributors to assess satisfaction with current EDP products and define future needs.
• Contact customers and distributors on a quarterly basis to identify inactive accounts, assess requirements to reactivate these accounts.
• Must identify opportunities for sales team members for kit sales growth.
• Document all contact information in a customer management system.
• Data entry required in documenting orders, inbound & outbound calls.
