Credit Analyst: World Leading Global Energy Trading Co

WORLD LEADING GLOBAL ENERGY TRADING COMPANY HAS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A CREDIT ANALYST.

This position sits within the London Credit Underwriting and Operations Team and your job will include principally be conducting credit operational activities (typically daily in frequency) specifically:

- Collateral and credit security management (ie sending out and responding to margin requests once contractual thresholds are passed; physical and electronic storage of all forms of credit security; updating credit management systems). This will form a significant amount of your time, particularly the daily processing of margin calls and liaising with the Credit Managers, Trade Finance, contracts and commercial to respond and resolve queries and issues which can arise in the process.
- Credit exceeds and exposure management (ie identification of counterparties where trading has exceeded the internally approved limit)
- Liaison with Trading Settlements, within Finance Operations, to obtain evergreen, up-to-date information regarding overdue debt related to existing counterparties, and ensuring this information is routinely fed back into the re-assessment process (for credit and KYC if appropriate)

In conjunction with the Global Credit team, the group performs an integral role, responsible for credit services for all Trading entities and all businesses. The Credit Analyst position is key to distilling credit data into focused business information, identifying areas for concern and new opportunities.

With the process migrating to an offshore location towards the latter stage of 2015 you will also be involved in ensuring policy and procedures are carefully mapped and assist in the handover of this process to the new respective team In addition, the individual will have responsibility to operate our Credit Monitoring process for this company's barge business which includes providing advice to traders on the availability of open Credit and where not available requesting some form of Credit mitigation via an number of different tools.

You should be a recent Graduate with relevant experience gained within a large structured organisation including some of the duties above as a Credit Analyst.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
