Cost Manager

A Leading Organisation in Chemicals Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Cost Manager, who will be will be based on site and take responsibility for managing and reporting costs on a major element of process installation.

You will be to joining a multi-disciplinary team and to seek, recommend and implement cost saving measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monthly valuations and design and build contracts on installation contracts which require site based variation control.
- Substantiating variations and assisting the Organisation in any resulting negotiations or disputes.
- Documenting in a timely and accurate manner that allows simple integration into the overall project reporting tools including:
- Ad hoc/daily reporting of installation issues that require approvals for budget release to rectify
- Weekly updates of variations or compensation events including assessment of costs to allow the Organisation to approve or challenge them with the contractor.
- Monthly valuations to support approval of applications for payment

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Qualified Quantity Surveyor
- Experienced in process installation contracts of wide range of values including £multi M
- Experience of site installation control of major design, fabrication and final assembly contracts
- Experience of NEC3, and bespoke client contracts
- CSCS card holder

KEY SKILLS

- Cost monitoring and reporting
- Identify cost and risk profiles
- Cost planning to final account
- Competent in MS Excel
