CORE JAVA DEVELOPER IN GIUBIASCO
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a JAVA DEVELOPER. For this contract position based in Giubiasco in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:
The role is providing both development (75%) and 3rd line support (25%) functions for the Investment Bank's Global Credit Risk systems, consisting of a number of high-profile global web applications, with a user base running to several thousands.
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
- 4+ years as Core Java developer
- Experience with common Java frameworks eg Spring, Struts
- Solid Front End web development
- Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in Java development
- Demonstrable experience of good OO design and programming
- 3+ years experience of application Servers esp. Oracle WebLogic
- 4+ years of Database experience
Preferred qualifications/experience:
- Awareness of test-driven development and design
- Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
- Data modelling experience
- Sybase ASE (15) experience
- SQL Server 2008 experience
