Conversion Technical Specialists

SPECIFIC SERVICES REQUIRED

The Specified Personnel will be required to:

- Contribute to projects or activities involving the development and/or maintenance of computer applications in accordance with the standards and guidelines.
- Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet market and/or client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the life cycle.
- Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support a client, project or entity
- They will interact and maintain effective relationships with business clients and technical and non technical staff at various levels and clearly communicate a sense of direction to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- They will participate in various knowledge transfer activities within this release and are expected to be capable of reviewing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work group.
- Provide advice and undertake more complex activities associated with developing and/or supporting computer applications in a Mainframe environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE

The following level of skill and expertise is required to perform these roles:

- Evaluations and problem investigation
- Work closely with colleagues to try and identify data related problems and solve them
- Conduct research and collect data which will help in continual product development that will meet client needs
- Ensuring high quality data is collected and integrity of the data
- Analysis of information using various statistical methods, trying to see patterns in data
- Database design, security, data storage and management
- Ability and experience in writing AP372 Mainframe convergent technical design documentation
- Ability to understand/write SQL queries for testing
- Background in financial conversion
- Experience in preparing and analysing the conversion database testing (financial tables)
- Ability to understand DB2 tables and run and execute DB2 queries
- Experience in preparing an analysis of the conversion end to end testing role.
- Experience in programming using the following:
- - MVS/JCL, ISPF, JSB and CICS
- SCLM
- DB2 and DB2 tools/utilities
- Cobol, TELON, SAS and/or AllFusion Gen (formerly Cool:Gen)
