Controls Technician Job

CONTROLS TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT TO HIRE opportunity with Yoh's client located in Middletown, IA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- CAD skills
- PLC knowledge
- Troubleshooting Microprocessor controlled components

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Selects components; builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies electronic equipment and systems such as PLCs and machine controls applying principles and theories of electronic controls.
- Translates concepts and information into images, uses feedback to modify designs, applies design principles
- 70% - Performs complex troubleshooting and programming tasks on equipment that may include items having distinctive features.
- 20% - Works in close support with design originator or production personnel, may recomment minor design changes.
- 10% - Directs the work of maintenance personnel.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates degree from two year college or technical school in Industrial Technology
- Six months experience in troubleshooting Microprocessor controlled industrial equipment
- CAD skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and software documentation for Allen-Bradley and Siemens programmable logic controllers.
- Valid Driver's License
