Controls Engineer

An experienced Controls Engineer with experience driving system control improvement and maintenance of PLC/HMI interface is needed for a temp-to-perm position located in Atlanta, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sole responsibility for design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the PLC/HMI system within our plant
- Program, maintain, troubleshoot and interface PLC's/HMI's
- Partner with engineering and maintenance to deliver projects on time & budget
- Lead electrical design improvement projects at the manufacturing plant
- Identify areas of inefficiency and improve throughput by utilizing lean, continuous improvement and root cause analysis
- Design control system logic (PLC's and HMI programming) and specifying control system hardware (sensors, PLCs, motors, drives, etc... ) to provide controls solutions for the operating plant

REQUIREMENTS

- 7-10 years experience in RsLogix 5000, HMI SCADA (IFIX)
- Extensive hands on industrial controls expertise
- Expertise in Ethernet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
- Experience with control components and process instrumentation
- Experience with maintenance of electrical systems
- Must have a thorough understanding of national electrical code
