Control & Instrumentation Engineer

A client of mine based in Surrey have an urgent requirement for a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to join them ASAP on an initial 6 month contract.

*Experienced control and instrumentation engineer.
*The role requires onsite inspections within manufacturing facilities, investigating appropriate solutions, writing scope document and proposals, implementing and supporting the solution.
*Working closely with the development team to identify appropriate integration options with existing and new software applications.
*Working with clients to understand their requirements and clearly explain how to achieve them.
*A positive 'Can-do' attitude.
*Experience with the following PLCs is preferable
oSiemens (S5, S7)
oAllan Bradley
oGE Fanuc
oMitsubishi
*Experience with the following HMI is preferable
oWonderware
oCimplicity
oSimatic/Wincc
*Experienced in the physical implementation and integration of instrumentation (eg temp and pressure sensors, flow meters etc.), Controllers and HMI both new build and upgrading existing systems.
*Desire (possibly) to move from temp to perm to develop and manage a 'Controls' department
*Ideal candidate should be flexible and enthusiastic about a definition of 'Controls' that encompasses both industrial, building service and lighting controls.
