A new opportunity has arisen for a Control & Instrumentation Engineer to joining the EC&I team for a leading energy business based in Wiltshire.
Joining a growing EC&I team, you will lead a small team to deliver C&I projects. In addition, you will contribute and assess the effectiveness of C&I systems and related management processes. Part of your role will also include identifying control solutions to improve power plant efficiency, performance and availability and carrying out/ reviewing control system designs and modifications.
We will also be assessing your soft skills including ability to train and mentor younger members of the team. For those who demonstrate merit, there will be opportunities to gain more responsibility and step up. There may also be opportunites for international travel to visit customer sites and suppliers.
Requirements:
* Degree educated or equivalent in electrical or equivalent discipline
* Previous experience in the field of power plant or process industry control systems
* Proven experience in the design, application, commissioning and optimisation of major DCS and PLC platforms
* Knowledge of control system theory
* DCS software development and management experience
* Experience of Instrumentation systems
* Good communication skills and team player
* A Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or working towards chartership
Advantageous but not mandatory:
* Safety Related Systems/ Application of IEC 61508
* DSEAR and Ex-certified equipment
* Control & Instrumentation system lifecycle management and review
* Instrumentation specification and selection
Salary will depend upon level of experience £50,000- £53,000 per annum.
