Contracts Manager

My Bristol based Public Sector client is seeking a ICT Contracts Manager/IT Contract Manager for a 6 month contract.

Working within the client's ICT Contracts Management Team, the role supports the Senior ICT Contracts Manager by providing a lead in the management and guidance on a range of contractual and commercial issues between the client and their IT suppliers.
The role is a key contributor to the client's strategic intelligence customer function, and aims to maintain a good working relationship between the client and its suppliers with all commercial risk known and managed.

Key Tasks for the ICT Contracts Manager/IT Contract Manager:
* Demonstrates sound knowledge and experience of professional procurement;
* Experience of drafting and reviewing contracts;
* Experience in effective risk management;
* Sound knowledge of commercial and procurement best practice;
* Sound commercial, organisational and time management skills;
* Knowledge of financial management tools and techniques;
* Excellent organisational skills; and
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels.
* Willingness to travel across UK with some overnight stays possible when necessary

Desirable:
* Experience of dealing with IT users and service providers.
* Experience of contract negotiating
* A working knowledge of ITIL or similar IT Service management methods
* Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Diploma in procurement and supply (NVQ Level 4), or equivalent
