Outsource UK Ltd are actively seeking to recruit for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT: WORLD LEADER IN DEFENCE MARKETS

THE JOB:

- Define the head contract support contracting solution, ensuring Support and Design & Manufacture are integrated through life.
- Define the Supply Chain strategy and the range of contracting solutions to ensure Support and Design & Manufacture are integrated through life.
- Define the integration of the GFA into the overall support solution
- Ensure achievement of the Company's strategic objectives and ensure that the Company's contractual position is protected throughout the life cycle.
- Develop and grow the contracting for support team, ensuring through life support is integrated throughout the project.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Comprehensive knowledge of the Customers support requirements, processes and commercial framework.
- Detailed understanding of Supply Chain support contracting, in terms of both ILS and In-Service Support programmes, in both the home and export markets.
- Strong project management skills.

KEY LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MGMT SKILLS

- Strong commitment and self motivation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Team leadership with particular emphasis on resource management and allocation of work, with the ability to drive the team to achieve outputs to schedule, budget and quality

TOP 6 MAJOR TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

- Develop and produce the support head contract terms and conditions, technical statement of work, incentivisation methods, AEDs, risks and opportunities, associated standards and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and produce the supply chain support strategy, supplier selection and assessment criteria and the corresponding template supplier contract packs.
- Ensure the projects invitations to tender (ITTs) correctly capture the Support requirements, are issued to programme, and the assessments of the responses are conducted.
- Integrate the design and manufacture and In-Service Support requirements to ensure they are fully integrated, mutually aligned and will deliver the required outputs.
- Integrate the numerous and complex GFA support solutions into the overall project support solution, levering best practise and influencing GFA support to align with the overall project support solution.
- Develop and manage the contracting for support team, ensuring appropriate links with the various Functions, Project Teams and wider stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Ensure appropriate alignment of the support contracts with wider maritime contracts and commercial frameworks.
- Ensure the commercial and supply chain support solutions aligns with the clients strategic objectives.
- Ensure the export opportunities are developed and the overall project support solution is exportable.
- Ensure compliance with, or waiver to, LCM and other requirements.

DESCRIBE WITH WHOM THE ROLE REGULARLY INTERFACES

- Project Management Board and their immediate Teams
- DE&S project IPT
- Key Suppliers
- Surface Ship Support Alliance (SSSA)
- Existing Class Output Managers (COM) and Teams
- MoD, RN and other industry stakeholders
- Internal and external governance staff

KEY MENTAL/ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND CHALLENGES

- Development of the complex and enduring project support head contract, and the associated implications for the MoD and the wider maritime stakeholders.
- Integration of the complex and numerous Supply Chain through life support contracts, ensuring they provide value for money and are complimentary to the overall support solution.
- Ability to develop, harmonise, integrate and deliver all the through life support requirements.

COMPANY/INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

- Comprehensive knowledge of support contracting, including ILS and In-Service Support.
- Comprehensive experience in ILS disciplines with wide spread knowledge and experience of support engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with the design and development of naval ships, and the procurement of ship systems and equipment
