Contract Teradata Data Modeler/Data Architect - Ireland

Contract Teradata Data Modeler/Data Architect is required by IT Services provider to join an exciting project in Dublin on a permanent or contract basis. In this role you will be responsible for developing and leading the Datamodelling capabilities within a Data Architecture function.  You should be familiar with full data life cycle as it pertains to the delivery of the data initiatives and its supporting documentation.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining conceptual and logical data models with associated metadata, ensuring that the data models are designed in a way that meets the business and technical requirements but also aligns with the enterprise data model to assure reuse and consistency. The ideal candidate should have experience in dimensional modelling/star schema design patterns for developing models for business usage

Experience working with Teradata and SQL.

Experience with ER/Studio or Erwin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Developing the data architecture design, logical data models, oversee implementation of physical data models, and capturing metadata
- Develops and implements enterprise-wide data principles and data modelling standards
- Develops guidelines and standards for cataloguing and maintaining data
- Collaborating with the requirements team to define and prioritize data requirements including data attributes, relationships and rules
- Collaborated with the Development teams on implementation and maintenance of data Models
- Extending an enterprise data model based on the requirements, leveraging/implementing data modelling standards
- Provide high-level analysis and design reviews to apply appropriate technologies and architecture to solve conceptual problems; ensure design, structure, and content meet performance guidelines
- Collaborate with Client Subject Matter Experts (SME), data delivery teams and design the persistent data storage to be used by the solution
- Create and maintain Metadata, including table/column definitions
- Prepare, maintain and publish documentation, including Source-to-Target Mappings, data models and data dictionary
