My client a leading Telecoms operator based in Amsterdam is looking to recruit a contract Security Architect for a number of internal projects.

The details are below:

JOB PURPOSE

As IT & Information Security Architect & Engineer, you have to a senior role to:

- Define and implement security architecture blueprints based on best practices and industry accepted standards to ensure that delivered technical solutions and architectural risk assessment recommendations, meet identified security, privacy and compliance requirements (achieving Security by Design)
- manage an effective security program across the Global technology estate of my client in support of the department leads
- ensure that my client stays at the forefront of innovation in order to address ongoing threats to the business. This will include evaluating new technical solutions and integration of tools.
- provide security governance in the Architecture designs and develop and apply the tools, policies, and procedures necessary to protect Global information, network and computer systems
- build a capability and providing leadership in analysing and addressing vulnerabilities and attempted intrusions and in preventing systems or data from being compromised
- conduct security reviews, risk assessments and reverse engineer approach to provide recommendations to keep the Global operation's enterprise architecture and network secure.
- As Global Security Architectand act as the central contact point for security related questions to assure that the various level designs are based on industry best practices and sound engineering principles.
- Identify, quantify, and provide design remediation for technical security risks as they relate to enterprise and Global projects and transfer knowledge on how to deal with the threats against a large global business.
- Produce management reporting, including appropriate metrics that inform senior leadership as to the state of Informationresearching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
- Upgrades security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.
- Prepares system security reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Develop extensions and enhancements to open source tools to deliver new capability in detecting and responding to security threats.
- Acts as point of escalation for security incidents and leads investigation into incidents from a technical perspective.
- Ensuring availability, operations and documentation of digital forensics tools.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO27005 Certified Risk Manager

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

- Security management experience in enterprise organizations and technical experience.
- Experience with industry best-practice approaches to the design, implementation, operation and management of IT and Security systems (eg, ISF, ITIL, COBIT, NIST).
