Contract Ruby on Rails

SR RUBY/RAILS DEVELOPER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT £350 - £400

My client is seeking several SENIOR DEVELOPERS EXPERIENCED IN RUBY ON RAILS to join a small elite development team in South Oxfordshire. This opportunity would see you developing and maintaining enterprise-level interactive software (websites, apps and eLearning applications) to some of the most well-known and innovative brands around the world.

KEY SKILLS

- An excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and associated Front End technologies and tools
- Experience with AngularJS or similar Front End frameworks
- An excellent understanding of Ruby on Rails, Linux, Heroku, AWS and associated Back End tools and technologies
- A solid understanding of networking tools and technologies such as SSH and VPN
- Excellent experience of testing approaches and tools like RSpec and Cucumber
- A strong understanding of mobile web development, debugging and optimisation (Native app development an advantage)
- Agile experience
- Good experience of using Git for version control
- A basic understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and the Adobe Creative Suite applications
- An excellent understanding of database technologies, the concept of Object Orientated programming and design patterns (PostGresSQL a distinct advantage)
- Commercial awareness
- An appreciation of creative concepts and thought processes
