Our client is a FTSE 100 leader in the Energy Sector with an opening for a Release & Environments Manager.

As part of a Transformation Programme an Oracle system is being implemented with new and existing architecture to enable SSE to effectively manage data and business processes. The Oracle System is at the heart of the function providing a database for meter data and for sending outgoing and processing incoming meter data and communications to and from the devices. This data communication includes meter readings, fault reporting and configuration updates. Requests to the system will be triggered by either CS, Mobility or via a manual user input, depending on the appropriate business process.

This role will be managing code and configuration releases through development, test and production environments for the Project. It will also manage environments to ensure that environments are available to the correct configuration and release level as required by the project schedule.

Key skills requirements:

- Release management experience with Oracle packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience managing releases to integrated, multi tiered, multi platform solutions
- Previous experience managing Infrastructure resources or projects
- Strong management/control/communication skills
- Ability to resolve issues/conflicts
- Process driven/structured.
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
