Contract Project Engineer

Operations Project Engineer (Support/Infrastructure) - 6 Month Initial Contract - Buckinghamshire

VMware, VSphere 5, SAN Storage, SQL Server, Active Directory

My client who are a leading, international and cutting edge service provider are currently in need of a Contract Operations Project Engineer within this exciting and growing operations team.

You will have strong analysis skills. Be able to design a new or replacement architecture for applications; working with software vendors; end clients and existing solution experts. You would have also been involved in a number or project implementations and migration projects.

Responsibilities:
Manage the Build, Test and Roll-out of Internal systems and production platform functionality.

Manage and maintain the Live Environment for existing customers 24 x 7, this includes a significant and continual element of troubleshooting.

Manage and maintain all of my clients System Infrastructure across 2 data centres. This includes support of customer specific hardware and communication links.

Key skills required:
MS Products - Knowledge of MS windows server products, with particular emphasis on SQL, Active Directory infrastructure, and IIS.
Expertise in the design, build and configuration of all aspects of VMWare VSphere 4.0 and above. Including the use and configuration of SAN storage and VMWare backup technologies.
Expertise in the design, build and configuration of Citrix server systems.
SQL Server - Strong knowledge of SQL database structures and backup/recover procedures, TSQL Queries.
