Contract Legal Counsel - Commercial

COMMERCIAL LEGAL COUNSEL

The successful Legal Counsel will be experienced in Commercial Law with in-house experience, and act as support to provide advice to the company Procurement and Commercial Teams and other Business Areas as necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Drafting,negotiating, reviewing and advising the business and the Shareholders on commercial, procurement and outsourcing contracts including NDA's, variation agreements, consultancy agreements, etc
- Ensuring commercial contracts have a balanced risk profile and where appropriate, to report and codify areas where such risk profile is not favourable.
- Advising the business as necessary to ensure on-going compliance with its contractual obligations and effective risk management.
- Dealing with and advising on software licences, the scope of those licences and related support services.
- Assisting with and supporting pre-contract negotiations, reporting to and liaising with Shareholders; Drafting and advising on Board Resolutions and corporate governance.
- Managing and advising on contractual disputes; Managing and advising on contractual exit obligations and supporting any exit negotiations.
- Supporting the Business on management of third party suppliers/MSL including providing advice on current contractual obligations etc.
- Advising the Business on changes in the law relevant to the industry and Business.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- A qualified solicitor with commercial and technology law experience in a major law firm or blue chip company
- Experience in large scale Outsourcing Projects IT and/or Telecoms would be an advantage
- Qualified lawyer with relevant IT/Telecoms/commercial experience
- Good stakeholder management experience.

This is a contract role with a leader in the industry, paying a very competitive rate. The contract will run for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
