Senior Java Developer 6 month contract
My City Centre Financial Services client are looking for a Java developer for an initial 6 month contract with the strong potential for an extension.
Excellent daily rates are available to the successful candidate.IT Skill Set Required
- Strong knowledge of OO concepts, Design Patterns and UML
- Strong JAVA experience (ideally edition 6)
- JSE Swing-based UI development
- JEE technologies including EJB 3.0, JAX-WS, JPA
- Strong knowledge of SQL (ideally in an Informix environment)
- Some industry frameworks/API knowledge: Spring, Hibernate, Log4J etc
- Some XML programming skills: JAXP, JAXB, XSLT etc
- Automated testing experience such as JUnit, mocking frameworks etc
DESIRABLE
- Experience in an IT role focused on Investment and Banking systems
- Experience of working in Agile development environment
- JEE Application Servers (eg. JBoss)
- Web Services with SOAP (over HTTP/HTTPS)
- Web development including JSP/Servlets
- Knowledge of SQL procedural languages
