Contract Data Architect - Togaf, Oracle, Data Governance

Purpose of role

Here at Yorkshire Building Society Group we are looking for a Data Architect to assist in shaping a data architecture that delivers towards our Target Operating Model.

As a Data Architect you will take responsibility for ensuring Change Delivery programmes are working to agreed principles & standards and remain aligned to the Data Architecture Strategy. You will expand awareness and capabilities for semantic modelling across Architecture and Change Delivery functions.

You will also provide technical leadership to our enterprise data warehouse project ensuring the project team are working to our enterprise Principles and Standards.

Professional qualifications or essential experience required:
Experience of working as a Data Architect in the regulated services industry
Knowledge of underlying data structures required to support customer centric business operations
Skilled in producing and assuring semantic (conceptual/logical) models
Experience in enterprise wide data governance and assuring project design against transitional and target data architecture states
Strong technical leadership and ability to provide direction to Solution Designers and Database Administrators
Mentoring of team members and Change Delivery teams in the use of semantic models
Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional, preferred, experience and qualifications:
Experience with Master Data Management approaches
Experience of Oracle databases, data warehouse, and supporting products
Experienced in using Barker and IE notation
TOGAF qualified
