The Position
This is a new position to market, and also a new concept role for our client. It is a role that is being sponsored by senior global management, to be highly visible, and play a key role in defining and implementing innovative ways of using Statistics in modern drug development.

In this role, our client are looking for someone who is able to review already identified publications and literature, as well as suggest other contributions, to outline new ways of reviewing safety and efficacy data. The intention is that, using existing studies, this individual will be able to propose better ways of this critical part of the development process, and implement them.

The position will commence in April and run for at least 6 months, however there is likelihood that other projects will need support and as such the contract could run for a longer duration. The is an expectation that the incumbent will be available for close out which is expected to take place in December.
Once the study has been successful, it is expected there will be a wider role out of any new concepts or processes, so future contribution is likely to be requested Dependent on the success of the initial part of the project.

Requirements

- You should have significant experience within Clinical statistics from a combination of commercial and academic organisations
- You should hold a PhD in an appropriate field, although an MSc in Statistics could be considered for outstanding candidates
- You should be comfortable using Statistical software and programming languages including SAS and R
- You should be willing to be based onsite in our clients offices in Illinois, and able to work as a freelancer/consultant
- Experience contributing to research of Statistical methods for use with Safety and Efficacy data is highly desirable
- Experience implementing new ways of managing data is desirable
- You should be a strong and confident communicator who is able to communicate new ideas and build implementation plans to Statisticians and non-Statisticians alike, in both written and spoken English
